"The Rabbit, 2023" is a captivating acrylic painting that delves into the profound impact of the introduction of rabbits to the Australian landscape.Inspired by the historical events surrounding Thomas Austin's release of wild rabbits to Barwon Park in Winchelsea in 1859, this artwork explores the far-reaching consequences of this seemingly innocuous act.Today’s current population is estimated at 200 million rabbits (covering 5.3 million km2).
